It's a....

... match!  For those of you who have been following the surrogacy drama, I have great news!  My agency found me another couple to work with!  I am very excited to get going again, though it looks like we're at a stand still for a bit longer... but looking at a possible January transfer.

The couple is from Hawaii and have been married for 5 years.  They have been trying to conceive, unsuccessfully, for four of those years and have decided that surrogacy is the best option for them.  They seemed super sweet on the phone and we seem to have similarities that I think will make us a good match.  And to top it all off, they would like to do the transfer in Honolulu.  So not only do I get to go through this cool experience again (for those of you who don't know, I was a surrogate once before ~ I gave birth to twins in January '06 for a fantastic couple in Wyoming), but I get to go to Hawaii for a couple days also!  What a great perk!

And other good news... My Allstate agency has been approved to open another branch.  Which will hopefully be much closer to my home... I will run it and thus will have a bigger salary, which will be awesome for our budget, and my commute time will be cut almost to nothing.  From 45 minutes to 10!  Yay!  A lot of pieces have to fall correctly into place before this can happen and it's supposed to happen by 12/31/07 so hopefully they can fall into place quickly!!

I need lots of crossed fingers from my favorite blog friends for all of this stuff... :)  I am really excited though!

Hope everyone out there is having a great week also...

AWESOME! Great happenings, I am thrilled for you.
I did not realize that you were a surrogate and am excited to find that out. I was supposed to be working with an agency to do the same thing for a couple in the Northeast, but the clinic turned out to be somewhat of a pain to deal with and I didnt feel comfortable working with them (the clinic). I think all of it has just stalled, although I seem to have a good connection with the IM.
I desire to be a surrogate and it has been almost a year now that I have been trying to accomplish this. I can't imagine life without my kids and I want so much to help a couple achieve their dreams of becoming parents.
If you could find a moment, bounce back to my blog and email me a bit about the agency you are working with and how you got the ball rolling, if you wouldn't mind!
Also, great that you will no longer be commuting so long! Hope that works out as well!

My sister had profound and devastating fertility issues. After a very long time and a lot of money, they did conceive and now have three children, one singleton and one set of twins. Anyway...I wanted to tell you what a beautiful and selfless thing you are doing. Good luck to you with finding the perfect IP's!
