Slacker

So I'm a big bloggy slacker lately.  I appreciate the checking in some of you have done in my slackerdom... I haven't had the Keiki yet.  They will be here in less than three weeks, though!!  We just haven't had anything exciting going on lately... The weather's been just gorgeous ~ not too hot and not too cold ~ so we've been playing outside with our neighbors a ton.  We've been running errands.  We've been talking politics.  We've been trying to prepare for me being out of commission for a few weeks after the C~section.  We've been rescuing a neighbor from baby mice in her basement.  We've been watching Colts games (Shawn and the boys are huge fans!).  We've been doing homework.  We've been trying to squeeze in naps (Ok, maybe just me).  We've been dealing with cat piss on the loveseat, courtesy of Persie (not her fault ~ the cat door was locked and she couldn't get to her litterbox) right in my living room!  Eek!  We've been going to birthday parties.  We've been trying to catch up at work.

Busy but not very interesting!!

But wait!  I do have something interesting to share.  I got an email from Michael Moore today (not a personal one ~ I'm on a mailing list) :) saying he's produced another movie that he's giving away completely free.  You can download it (hooray for the environment ~ no packaging!) if you'd like to.  It will be ready in a couple weeks and you can request it here.  You can also see a preview there.  I haven't watched the preview yet but Michael's never disappointed me before.

Oh and here's a funny for you.  The other day I walked into the bedroom whilst getting ready for work.  The boys were still in our bed watching the news (they'll lay there even after Shawn and I are done snuggling and are up getting a start on our day!).  I giggled at them because they looked so cute lying there in their fuzzy footie jammies.  Tyler immediately wanted to know what was so funny.  (*quick aside ~ he is my lil clown.  He will do anything for a laugh and if he can figure out why you were laughing at him, he'll do it repeatedly until you tell him it's starting to get annoying rather than funny*)  I replied that nothing was funny, I just thought they were cute laying there together.

"Are you going to go get the camera?" he asked.

"No, I wasn't planning on it" I replied (are you kidding me?  walk up and down a flight steps with my extra 63 lbs when I don't have to?)

"But don't you want to take a picture for your blog??" he asked.

Heh.

It's funny to me, the differences in a child growing up in 2008 and the child that I was growing up in the early 80's.  I had no idea what a blog was.  "Google" wasn't in my vocabulary.  I had to use a dictionary or encyclopedia.  Video games were little blips on a screen and it was hard to even make out what you were looking at half the time.

*******

Let's see, what else?  I s'pose that's about all I've got.  If you're looking for something good to read, don't forget about EcoWomen.  I have a post coming for Friday but there's good stuff all week long.

I'll try to be back soon... I think it's time for a new belly shot.  The size of the belly is just amazing... and just when I think it can't possibly get any bigger, it does.  The babies are still on track for 7 lbs at birth.  Anyone up for a friendly wager? :)

Have a great week!

Wow! It's getting really close now! Are you going to post a picture so we can see how big you are getting? :)

My girls are aware of my blogs too, so now they tend to pose more when I pull out the camera.

I guessing 6 lbs. 12 oz. for one baby and 7 lbs. even for the other. No particular reason -- the numbers just came to me.

Seriously, whenever you don't post I'm imagining you giving birth.

I'm guessing 8 pounds each. Please don't hate me. Ouch, I know.

BOTH of them are 7 lbs...???!!
You poor, poor thing.
I say 6lbs 8 oz for one, and 7.2 for the other one.
Can't wait to see the belly shot!

And, fuzzy footy pj's are THE BEST. Target always has a great selection (right about now actually) for the season, and they carry sizes large enough to fit older kids too!

ha ha. MQ doesn't know about the blog, per se, probably because most people don't know about it, and I certainly don't want to ask my kid to be keeping secrets!

off to check out the M Moore link

That's a lot of baby weight, times two! Your kids are a hoot. Mine are oblivious to my blogging habits and perhaps I should be thankful!

You are amazing. I can't wait to hear about the keiki arrival. I am guessing 6,15 and 7,1. Hang in there!
