This is the last perennial to bloom this year in our garden. I'm guessing tomorrow will bring a few new flowers. I love the color on this one ~ it's always my favorite and it comes in the middle of summer, like a surprise.

Today we're 27 weeks along with 11 left to go to the finish line. The Keiki are the same weight as a cauliflower ~ about 2 lbs and 14 1/2 inches long. They're sleeping and waking at regular cycles now, although someone always seems to be moving in there so it's hard for me to tell! At my ultrasound this week, both babies were breech with their heads together high in my abdomen. I picture them looking at each other, maybe even conspiring already, like twins are wont to do?
This is the last week of my second trimester. It's hot here and I'm crankier as the day warms. My poor family has been quite the bunch of troopers dealing with my moodiness! I had a conversation in the car with the boys about why I've been so grumpy lately ~ carrying around 40+ extra pounds is like carrying around Gavin all day, ever day. That explanation seemed to hit home with them.
So far, I haven't taken it out on any strangers, other than the occasional whine. I'm trying to stay upbeat and take naps when I can as I always feel better when I've had one. I can no longer reach my feet, although I never did need an excuse for a pedicure in the summer.
Today I have another project up my sleeve (my productive thing) and for our fun thing this afternoon, we're headed to a friend's house to play at her pool. It's not supposed to be as hot today, which I am very excited about. It should be a good day!

Ooh, poor you. I hope you can get some relief from the heat.
Hang in there Mama! You are awesome and you are in the home stretch now...Gorgeous flower, love it.
No doubt, conspiring.
Gotta love the nesting instinct, though.
Beautiful flower!
I was pregnant during a heat wave (90+ for days and days...in April!) and was miserable...and I was only carrying one!! Hang in there...
Oh, the heat - no good! Like you flower, you will bloom, my friend.
Take care and rest up.
Yep, you'd better pay attention when you see twins putting their heads together.
I am still in awe that you were willing to be pregnant with twins again! One is enough to carry around IMO.
Tiger lilies are beautiful. I have those in my yard too.
Hey stay cool mamma!
Love the flower too.
I am so excited for those twins Amy. You are doing such a good job!
Poor you is right. I feel like I should send you an Apple Crisp pie (or two). :)

Being pregnant during the summer months is so hard. Being pregnant with twins...ack. Can't imagine. Enjoy the pool!

You are so tough and amazing for continuing with daily activities for the boys.
I love the flowers by the way..we have been growing a lot of weeds that we can not keep up with.
