Our Weekend in Indy
We enjoyed a weekend packed full of activities... Starting from bright and early Friday morning at the track...
... while the girls got mani's, pedi's and mini massages, the boys watched race cars...
... which sounded fun but not nearly as exciting as a trip to the spa!
Shawn got some great shots of the boys... and though it was chilly, they thought seeing the track was pretty awesome!
That night the cousins all watched a movie together... and Shawn and I played some card games with Mom & Dad (who were still slightly jet lagged from their trip across the pond!).
Saturday, my baby turned 5. Five! Five seems SO much bigger than four to me... and look how grown up he is. He picked out his shirt for his special day.
A birthday party at the park wouldn't be complete without shooting a tree (?!)...
... and of course birthday cake.
The next day we headed to the Children's Museum where we did lots of activities such as digging for dinosaur bones...
... build things with large pipes...
... put on a puppet show...
... build more things ~ this time with blocks...
... and watch pennies have races down a hole.
Tyler's favorite part was the room with giant games like Connect Four...
The last day, we snuck in some duckpin bowling in a super cool place that still had original balls, floors and pins.
We even had fun at the airport! The kids had races in a corner and found themselves to be quite entertaining...
Once we got home, there were more presents to open! Gavin's favorite was a new costume (the boys LOVES to wear costumes)...
It will probably be a while before we head back to Indiana, a magical place filled with Grandparents, cousins and fun things to do. I love that the boys had this time to bond with their cousins and as usual, we left thinking we need to find ways to do this more often.
Hope you had a great weekend, too :) And a belated Happy Mother's Day to all you hot Mama's out there!

The ONLY way this could have been any more fun is if you had a video of that puppet show!
Hope you had a fantab Mother's day Amy. Welcome back!
Sounds like a fantastic trip. I love the smoke coming out behind the car on his cake. Very cute. My boys also love getting costumes for birthdays and Christmas (which is great 'cause I can buy them on clearance after Halloween.
And I agree, 5 is so much bigger than 4. Now my little 5 year old is going to be 6. ACK, I can barely stand watching my little guy grow up.
your world is a beautiful place
Happy Mother's Day to *you*!
And those pictures are fantastic! You all had so much fun, I can tell!
Looks like you had a wonderful time!!
Happy (late) Mother's Day to you, too!
How are the wee ones? (I'm not sure what fruit/vegetable they are at the moment....)
;)
What a perfect way to celebrate the milestone 5th birthday! He is adorable, Amy. Absolutely. Well, they both are.
Glad you had a good time - and happy belated Mother's Day to you :)
