Gavin~isms

Colorado is dry.  Winter in Colorado is extra dry.  I try to be really diligent about putting lotion on the boys after their baths to avoid dry, itchy skin, but somehow I have not been great about Gavin's feet.  They got really dry and started to peel.  I hadn't noticed because I don't often observe the bottom of his feet like I did when he was a baby... So when he came to me, to show me his dry feet, exclaiming "Mom!  My feet are cracking up!!" I had no clue what he was talking about.

Thank goodness for Melt.   He's all better now, and his feet are no longer all cracked up.

We went to the Animal Shelter today to visit Miyagi.  The poor little thing is still in a pen with two other dogs, one of which is getting more aggressive every day.  It was hard to leave our new lil guy there when he could be home with us, warm and cozy with lots of toys and room to run around.  Gavin isn't crazy about the loudness that comes with a visit to the shelter.  He stood back, away from the cages, quietly observing the madness.  I asked him if he was scared and he said "no, but I'm ready to get away from all these barkers!".

Miyagi should be able to come home on Monday... *fingers crossed*

Yes, come home now, Miyagi. Don't like the sound of your current roommate!

My daughter's having trouble with dry hands from the strong soap they use at school. I may have to give MELT a try.

Come home, Miyagi, indeed!
