In the past couple months since I learned how to knit, I have made only scarves. Well and a hat for Gavin that was a complete disaster (I am too embarrassed to even show you). It worked out alright, though, as I made scarves for holiday gifts this year... everyone from teachers to cousins received one.
A friend down the street that I knit with gave me a copy of a hat pattern to try, promising it was very easy. And lo and behold, I knitted something other than a scarf!
Gavin has decided he no longer wants a hat made by me (can't say that I blame him, and neither would you if you saw the disaster!) but Tyler was psyched about having a Mom creation of his very own...

And yes, I meant for that star to be not quite perfect... I have a cute lil star button to go in the middle, but my needles seem to be missing ... so that will have to wait.
It's not perfect, but I'm pretty proud of it.
